Connect the club's MobilePay

Buyers pay into the club's own MobilePay. That needs an online agreement, not the box on the counter, and three keys from the business portal.

Every payment a buyer makes goes straight to the club's own MobilePay account. Bippa never holds the money, which is why it takes no cut of it. It does mean the club has to have the right kind of MobilePay agreement.

The box is not the same thing

Most clubs already have a MobilePay box, also called MyShop. The buyer types an amount and pays; nothing tells Bippa it happened, so it cannot know the sale went through or what was bought.

Bippa needs an agreement for online payments. Same club, same bank account, a different agreement. Both can exist side by side, so the box keeps working for the bar.

Get an online agreement

  1. Log in to the Vipps MobilePay business portal with the same login you use for the box.
  2. Order the product for online payments. The portal shows its price before you order; it is separate from the box's.
  3. Wait for approval. It usually takes a few days, and you get an email with the new sales unit's merchant number.
  4. Open For developers on that sales unit and keep the page open for the next step.

Connect it

  1. In Bippa, click the club's row at the top of the left menu to open Settings, then Payment accounts.
  2. Click Connect an account.
  3. Give it a Name the club will recognise. Only you see it.
  4. Copy the Merchant number, Client ID, Client secret and Subscription key from the For developers page.
  5. Click Connect.

The keys are stored encrypted and never shown again, not even to you. All four are needed: an account that cannot take a payment is not worth having.

You need the Payment accounts permission for this; the owner has it.

Point each place at it

Open Points of sale, click Edit on the fridge and choose the account under Money goes to. Places without an account can be scanned but cannot charge; the buyer sees "This place cannot take payment yet".

A club with more than one bank account, for example a bar and a shop, connects one account per sales unit and points each place at the right one.

Disconnect

Disconnect on the account's card deletes the stored keys. Any place selling into it stops taking payment until it is given another account. Money already taken is in the club's MobilePay account and is unaffected.

Put a sticker on the fridge this weekend.

Create your club, add the products you already sell, print the QR code. Bippa is not a point-of-sale and never touches cash, so there is nothing else to set up.
