Take a product off sale

Unpublish it to pause it, archive it to retire it. Products are never deleted, because sales already made point at them.

There are two ways to stop selling something, and one of them is reversible with a click.

Unpublish: off sale for now

Open the product and turn Published off on the Details tab. It disappears from the buyer's list straight away but stays in yours, marked Draft, and can still be counted and restocked. Turn Published back on when it is back.

This is the right choice for a seasonal product or something you have run out of and mean to buy again.

Archive: retired

Open the product and click Archive at the bottom of the left menu, then Archive again to confirm. It comes off the buy list, off the products list (the Archived filter still shows it) and out of every low-stock list.

It is not deleted. Sales already made still point at it, so the Payments page and the Compare page keep telling the truth about what sold. It also keeps its barcode: scanning that barcode when adding a new product says "You already sell this" and offers the archived one.

Restore

Filter the products list to Archived, open the row's menu and click Restore. It comes back with its barcode and its last count, and can be counted again. If it was published when archived, buyers can buy it straight away; if it was a draft, publish it first.

Plan limits

Archived products still count towards the plan's product limit. To free a slot on the Free plan, restore a product you actually sell and let the ones you do not stay archived; the limit is about what the club has ever put up, not what is on the shelf this week.

Put a sticker on the fridge this weekend.

Create your club, add the products you already sell, print the QR code. Bippa is not a point-of-sale and never touches cash, so there is nothing else to set up.
