Get told before something runs out
Set a level on each product and Bippa flags it on the Overview, emails the people who restock, and puts it on Thursday's shopping list.
Bippa knows how fast each product sells, so it can say when it will run out. Three things use that.
Set a level
Open the product, choose Stock, and fill in Tell me when stock drops below. Six is a sensible number for a can; one for a cake. Products with no level set are still watched for running out, they just do not warn early.
The Running low card
The Overview page has a card called Running low. Each row says how many are left and when it runs out ("runs out Saturday"), or "Sold out", and suggests how many to buy. The suggestion covers about two weeks of selling at the recent rate.
Nothing is listed until a product is published and counted.
The alert email
When a product reaches its level, the people with the Stock permission get an email a couple of days later called "Roskilde Boldklub: 3 things are running out". The delay is deliberate: anything else that drops low in those days is included, so a busy Saturday makes one email rather than five. If everything has been restocked by then, no email is sent.
Open the fridge in the email goes to the products list; each row's Check link opens that product.
Thursday's shopping list
Every Thursday morning the same people get the week's email with the takings and "5 things need buying", with quantities. See The Thursday email.
Turning the emails off
Both emails can be switched off for yourself under Your account, Emails. It changes nothing for anyone else. See Your profile, emails and deleting your account.
