Restock the fridge
Scan each thing as it goes into the fridge and save the whole crate in one go. That is the count Bippa works from until the next restock.
Restocking is how stock gets into Bippa. Sales take it out on their own. You need the Stock permission; the owner has it, and everyone else gets it through a role. See Give volunteers the right permissions.
Put a crate in
- Click Restock in the left menu. The camera opens with "Hold each barcode up as it goes in".
- Scan each item as you put it in the fridge. Every scan adds one to that product's line, and the line shows the count before and after.
- Use the plus and minus buttons, or type the number, for a whole crate at once.
- Add a note if it helps later, such as "two crates from the cash and carry".
- Click Put 24 things in.
The toast says "Stock added". Each product's count is now what it was plus what went in.
Without the camera
On an iPhone, or if the camera is blocked, use Search for a product and pick the product by name. Everything else is the same.
If you are interrupted
An unsaved crate is kept for an hour. Reopening Restock says "Picked up where you left off" so you can carry on. Click Start over to throw it away.
Closing the dialog with unscanned items asks "Throw this crate away?" because nothing has been saved yet.
Barcodes that will not add
- "Not a product here yet": add it under Products first. See Add a product.
- "Put away. Restore it before counting it": the product is archived.
- "This club does not count this one": the product has Count the stock turned off.
Correcting a count
If the fridge does not match the number in Bippa, do a count rather than a restock. See Count what is in the fridge.
